Questions / Weird entries on ALBUM AUTO TAGGER

Hey there,
over the last couple of days / weeks i notices some weird entries when i wnated to tag my new albums / songs.

Is there something wrong with one of the updates or the album tagger doesn´t work properly?

Questions / Editing a Skin

Hi there

first of all - i´m not very familiar with skinning or editing codes!

I like the multi color skins (e.g. Sample Skin; mellon remix; scamleon etc.) - especially the fact that columns and bars have differents colors which makes every area of the main panel look neatly arranged

So is there a 'SIMPLE' possibility for me to edit these columns and bars ?

Questions / tagging problem

hey there,

as i noticed yesterday; i realized that there is an immense amount of tags in different libraries that are separated with a COMMA instead of a semi-colon.
it´s not big problem; but it´s something that is not they way as intended.

i tried to fix it via the tagging tool ->  Tagging tool

but it doesn´t really help - before i have to manually fix the problem (must be thousands of entries)
can anyone explain how to handle the tool right or do it another way?

Questions / Video file cover-art prob

Hey there.

I experience some issues when it comes to embedding artwork in Video files (i´m only using .mp4 files).

I normally add artwork to my video files so that it appears within MB AND outside MB (when i open the video file via folder).
Normally it works fine - either via internet or copy+paste

After a clean install of MB i started to re-organize my video files - It seems i didnt edit MB correctly or something works different.

So here´s a screenshot:

As you can see a cover was found.

BUT

- the first option "embedding the picture" is completely disabled no matter what i click on.
- and i can´t click on "OK" as long as I didnt click on "link with file" + "save as folder.jpg" (save a folder.jpg is completely unwanted).

That means i can´t embed artwork and/or it doenst appear outside MB


Some ideas, anyone?

Questions / New - final- Version 3.2 / update patches

Maybe a dumb question.

does the final 3.2 version from today include all the update patches up to 3.2.6756.19597 - or do I have to install the 3.2 version and then extract the patches ?

Questions / Probs with "date added" feature

I must admit i´m a bit annoyed...
for a while i notice that i have to manually add the time and date within mb when files are included.
i said ok, i normally edit the tags, art etc.  so i can also add the time and date as well..though it´s tiring.

but for me it makes sense to have all the files in the right order....or sort files by different tags etc...

the problem that occured today after i extracted the latest update patch MusicBee32_Patched_3.2.6721.35740:
all the entries are gone and all files are set back to 01.01.0001. crazy...

Is it a MB problem or does anyone have a clue what´s wrong ?

Questions / Wing-Ated Skin / Columns

hey there,

i´ve got a question about the Wing Ated Skin. I installed it and I noticed that MY LAYOUT  is different:


The regular WING-ATED skin contains different columns and A-Z jumper as you can see HERE

But these different columns and a-z departements are the ones i wanted to apply.

can someone help to establish?

Questions / Permanently changing Artist Art

Hey there,

i´m a bit annoyed cause i spend a lot of time sometimes to find free pics to include in mb. Of course it´s a great feature that mb finds artist pics from the internet and you can stop mb from constantly changing the artist pic. there are often crappy or simply the wrong pics etc

But is there a way to stop and start it permanently...i mean afaik you can stop it manually but when the next track from the next artist appears or when you restart mb it starts changing the artist pics over and over again...like a slide show ...

I want to stop mb from changing artist pics globally and only use the pics that i put in my artist folder.

Is that possible?

Bug Reports / mb "freezing" prob

hey there

my version is 3.1.6466 and since a few versions before i´ve noticed a bug or something. it occurs randomly that mb seems to be "freezing" while playing.
the music plays on but when i start to skip to the next song or something else, nothin happens. no function is available until i close mb via task manager and restart it.

sometimes i have to do it a few times and then everything seems to be ok for a while. until it happens again...

does some of u have the same issue? if so what might be the prob?

any idea anyone?

This not a specific question. This is something that i find is useful for those who are interested in social media pages or for people like me who are running a blog and want to include social media links from artists you write/talk about.. e.g. Facebook; Twitter and Soundcloud.

It´s a bit tricky because as most of you know you can´t always find people with their real names e.g. brian eno on twitter is: https://twitter.com/dark_shark. Or Moby is https://twitter.com/thelittleidiot.

So it´s almost impossibe to find people on twitter, facebook or soundcloud with their real name. But I found a way to be very close to where I want to be.

i can edit the album view so that albums are in a chronological order!


but when i do this :

there is NO chronological order possible...AS FAR AS I CAN SEE!

Questions / Latest Version vs 3.1

hey there...

currently i´m running version no version 3.1.6146 and there is still an announcement that there will be a new topic for 3.1 versions.

the latest version update is 3.0.6228 !

so your latest updates all have lower update numbers... bit confusing

will there be a 3.1 update secion soon ?

Questions / Missing Option "Choosing the library at the start"

Hey all there,

first of all cool to be here with all you creative guys!

I just wanna start with a (possibly) simple question:


In some former versions of mb it was possible to choose which library i want to start with at opening musicbee (at start Splash-screen?)

I think it was a nice option, because i have 3 LIBRARIES with different types of music (70-80ies / 90ies / and 2000+) so it makes sense for me to start  by picking the desired library!


Maybe one of you can help?
