Questions / Re: No edit popup, can't edit metadata

if you have multiple screens run at different dpi resolutions, and change the resolution of the screen the tag editor was open, it can cause the tag editor to go off screen. If thats the case try setting the dpi scale back to how it was before
otherwise delete "DialogStateSettings.dat" in the musicbee application data folder

i cant reproduce any issues and i cant think of anything thats changed as compared to v3.5 that might cause such issues. So i guess it will remain unsolved for now

its related to the replaygain analyser. Do you have it replaygain analysis enabled in Tags(2)/ in the tags section?
If you just run it manually, do you sometimes cancel the analysis mid-way through?

in any case the usual downloads link is updated with a change to address the issue

Bug Reports / Re: Some kind of multi-instance cross-contamination

if the C: instance is monitoring a specific C: folder then I dont see how tagging files on the E: drive would trigger the folder monitor unless Picard is configured the write temporary versions of the tagged file to that folder (which seems very unlikely)
You dont ever run the E: instance and switch to the C: library (using File/ Open Library) ?

Can you send a link to one of the mp3 files.
They probably have chapter tags - i dont think mp3tag can read those

I am not aware of any changes to v3.6 that could cause this. Does going back to using v3.5 fix the problem?

ok, its a MB bug when you use a large font for the default font. I will look to fix it

By default, in MusicBee you can only add a 'mixer' using the Tag Editor > Artist > ...  , enter an artist and give him the role of Remixer.

So far so good.
It can now be found under Artists: Remixer.
And you would expect that tag to conform to what Picard, Mp3tag, foobar200 and hydrogen audio are doing and suggesting.
Which for mp3 would be to write the TPE4 tag.
But instead MusicBee will write a TXXX/remixer tag.
for mp3 files MB reads and writes to both TPE4 and to TXXX/remixer, and for other file types: REMIXER, so that should be compatible with other apps
As you say there is also a predefined "Mix Artist" custom tag as well which was done right at the start of MB but its kept to not break anyone who might be using it

I dont disagree its not well thought out and executed but I dont want to change anything

for the next v3.6 update, the first artist is used when opening the music explorer
