Questions / Re: How to remove file from file organiser
« on: April 03, 2024, 08:31:36 AM »
I'm a bit confused what exactly you did so unsure if there is a bug.
How were you running this file through the file organiser if it was hidden from the main panel?

also perhaps send a link to one of the problem files

Bug Reports / Re: Change default app to MusicBee is ending in error

The musicbee installation you are using with "open with" is missing some files. Most likely your security software has quarantined them

i made some minor enhancements and also the 2 large sizes are now 150px and 175px

it looks like only english has MB customised icons set up.

It isnt straight-forward to have the pictures fit the panel width so i have added 2 extra large sizes 175px and 250px, scaled by the screen dpi. So just size the width of the panel yourself to the picture size
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

One more thing that can improve performance is to use bass_aac.dll for m4a files. It performs 30-50% faster in my tests

the file has been updated

first off try updating using the patch version
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

and if that doesnt help, send a link to your settings (help/ support/ view settings)

updated again, its around 25% faster than the recent update above. I think this is the best i can get it

yeah i timed 10 threads at 2.5x improvement
I think the main constraint is reading the file data and thats relatively slow with the bass library compared with ffmpeg that i believe foobar uses. I will try one more thing though and post if it makes a difference

its faster but not to foobar level of speed (dont know how its so fast, even just reading the file with the bass library is a lot slower)
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

it uses the file converter max threads setting. In my own testing using a SSD the benefits are marginal after 6 threads

Try the patch version in case its already fixed
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

it looks like the replaygain library i am using can support multiple threads so i will look at improving processing on a per album basis
