Bug Reports / Re: Bug Report

i suggest installing the patch version as i think thats already fixed - see phred's signature for instructions

2
unfortunately the playlists in question are already corrupt. You might try phred's instructions as a more recent patched MB version may help prevent any corruption happening in the first place. Also a good idea to keep backups

Questions / Re: Search without losing position in list
« on: April 14, 2024, 12:35:41 PM »
I have added support for finding rather than filtering in the main panel search. Its in the next v3.6 update

4
this was done a while ago in the tag inspector, except for .mp3 and .m4a files which is supported for the next update

5
that should work now

For the next v3.6 update i have added 4 more custom tags. To preempt inevitable requests for more, please dont or ask for justifications why not

Bug Reports / Re: playlist lock doesn't prevent deleting
« on: April 13, 2024, 07:06:35 AM »
i agree Delete should be disabled and thats now done for the next patch update.
However the "Include in Playlist" function still lets you add files due to performance reasons

Questions / Re: Error Message when trying to play
« on: April 12, 2024, 09:43:27 PM »
That type of error is usually due to your security software removing one of the .dll files in MusicBee, so whitelisting MB fixes that

let me know if you are happy to run a debug version of MB

12
it should work. can you send me the xml file.

13
the issue might be with an associated file rather than the music file itself
This should stop the database corruption, but there is something going wrong while a new file is loaded, so could send me the startup error message "error loading associated files..." the next with the filename and activity message that appears after the error message

what sorting criteria are you using? if you are sorting by Date Added, use Date Added (Album) instead
