New Compact Player Layout

i've done most of the things i plan to do in this phase for the new compact player - i might do another spectrum visualiser style (zune like) or things people are really missing.
So would people wanting skin overrides send me their list of requests (i know some requests have been made in previous posts but you might not consider them relevant any more)

One minor improvement suggestion:
when you double-click onto the Artist Picture it's displayed in a full size, which is great feature.
However, there is no Save Artist Picture command, which is available for pictures in Compact Player.
I think it would be useful to add this option for full-sized pictures.

i've changed the main player to be a bit more consistent with the compact player - you can now set the progress bar to be above the player controls or show a wave bar in the player panel. Some of the skins will need overrides for the wavrbar colours which i havent done just yet.
Additionally next i will look to add another option to display the progress bar in the middle with Metro type buttons

Wow, I've wanted the ability to do this for so long, thank you so much. The wave bar in the main player bar looks great as well.

I love this, too!  It seems like MB has trouble switching between them until you restart it, FYI.  I get all kinds of funky positioning and clipping problems.

i have added in options for docking the progress bar to the middle of the main player control panel and it draws metro type play control buttons, with no stop button.
Likewise when displaying a wave bar, so now the layout displays between the new compact player and main player should be similar.
You will need to reset the wavebar in the main player if you had that set.
It also fixes a couple of GUI glitches around the new layout options

Thanks for implementing this! This is a great improvement of the modern layout player.

One minor thing about metro buttons. When first loaded, looks fine. But when you click on Play, the outer circle of the play button sort of blurs. Only happens with main player.

since the artist and track name are removed with the wave bar showing what do people think about displaying it within the wave bar. i did a quick mock up.



 a new skin element would probably be required so it doesn't clash with what ever colours people have the wave bar.
