When not using Auto-DJ, I listen to most of my music in shuffle mode.  Either selecting a particular artist or genre.  But there are some albums (classical, comedy, or live recordings) that I want to listen to in track order.  It would be nice to have an option to mark certain albums with a shuffle override.  I envision the option being in the Edit Properties or Edit Settings section and only visible if the entire album is in edit mode.

And yes, I know I can easily click on the Shuffle button and toggle it off or on, but since I listen to almost everything in shuffle mode, I forget it's there.  Until I'm listening to an album and hear that it's not playing in the order I expected.

Unless someone already has a method to accomplish this.

Thanks.

+1 This is also related to the request where certain songs should go in pairs (or more) in shuffle mode and not be played on their own

Steven...

Any comment on the possibility of this being added?

Seems like a popular enough request and I would certainly put it to some use if implemented  ;D

Something similar (or not) that could be implemented together with this request is this thread regarding duplicates: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=5020.0

Its all about making some kind of connection/link between tracks after all  ;)

i might just add a "play album in sequence" flag rather than anything more complicated like linking files

I assume that would be based on track numbers, correct?
If so, it sounds simple enough would certainly meet my needs.

Thanks.

Playlists that remember whether shuffle was turned on or off for them specifically is on my wish list  ;D.  ...works in another massively popular music player that I do not use anymore because this one is better.

The reason that MusicBee playlists don't remember layouts or settings such as shuffle is because they are stored as standard playlists files such as .m3u which do not support these types of features.

this has the change as described - you need to select all tracks in the album and apply this setting

Very nice, Steven.
I've played with it a little bit tonight and it seems to work just as I expected.

Thank you!!
