It's not like that if you untick this, the artwork won't fit the panel.
Maybe "minimize margins (or 'space') between artwork" would be slightly more descriptive?

While this one:

#NPL.ctl.8EB6C56F#   show track properties (bitrate, sample rate, channels, duration)

has a correct entry in the translated file, in the Now Playing Layout Configuration panel it still shows up untranslated.
(Also in some other languages that I checked)
