Author Topic: Library Explorer categories to remember its own sorting set  (Read 4710 times)

The unique beauty of Library Explorer is its tree view that no other panels have. But it would be more useful if LE's each category remembers its own sorting set. I'm not sure how others use it but whenever I'm selecting another category I have to change its sorting set to utilize its tree view effectively.

For example, you have two categories selected, artist and composer. And artist is mostly used with Pop filter, and composer with Classical filter. Naturally their sorting sets must be different. But because categories do not remember its own sorting set, every time you change the filter, you have to select another category and its own sorting set again manually.

The main limitation with LE is that currently there's no way to set different categories (and their sorting sets) for a specific node, filter or playlist, and I've already posted a wish about view settings to include Track Browser and LE settings as well:

But this would be a simple fix, compared to that. Thanks in advance!

An old wish, but since I us the Library Explorer a lot, I still hope this functionality to be added someday.
