Author Topic: extend lower reach of ReplayGain adjustment to -9 dB  (Read 2913 times)

Since ReplayGain currently has some more attention:

The default adjustment setting of '0' in MusicBee complies with the ReplayGain standard of 89 dB target loudness.
It is currrently adjustable to -6 dB, then matching the (professional) SMPTE recommendation.

Yet there also is an EBU reccomendation which lowers this with yet another 3 dB.
I indeed ran into a classical album wich indeed gave the message at adjustment setting -6 dB that clipping would occur, and suggests adjusting with another -3 dB to prevent that.
Since that is not currently possible, could the lower reach of slider be extended from -6 dB to -9 dB?

(I just ran into an album even needing an extra -5.4 dB from the current -6 dB)
