The topic subject is the same as the one in
Hydrogenaudio, which drew my attention recently.
Shortly, there is proposal for a
Chapter Extension which enables chapter marks for all file formats, which use the vorbis comments metadata.
AFAIK no player can use this extension so far.
VLC have planned support for this feature in v2.1, but the latest beta can only parse and display these keys without actually jump to the right position of seekpoints.
So, MusicBee can be the first player in the world supporting this extension!
I believe this should not be too difficult, having in mind that MB already supports chapters.
