Just a few quick observations:
1. Handling of row span improved, but leaves empty rows at the bottom. Can these be removed, too?
2. To make the new auto-hide lyrics panel useful, its width should be the same as that of open mode. Currently it's too wide.
3. Column width adjustment for now playing list is not working properly.
1. working fine for me - perhaps you formula has some spaces?
3. working fine for me - can you be more specific about how it is not working properly

1. My request of #2 was perfectly implemented. But regarding #1 when row span is more than one, it now leaves empty rows at the bottom, instead of in the middle.

3. Adjusting the width of each field by dragging mouse in configuration pane has no effect.

Edit: One more thing, text search box is still not visible.

I had weird behavior with the Now Playing list, too: on first updating, with title and artist columns, it had both columns spread out and a non-skinned scrollbar showing at the bottom.  Turning auto-hide off and then back on seemed to fix it.

Thanks for making the lyrics hide-able, Steven!

Maybe I should be clearer about what I am requesting to avoid any rework and to hear other users' opinions.

Top left is the current open-mode lyrics panel, while top right is current hidden-mode.
But even if lyrics panel becomes narrower, if it looks like bottom picture, it won't be much useful.
I'd like left panel to resize when hidden lyrics panel is open, so it would look the exact same as open-mode (top left).

I don't know that the picture needs to be adjusted, but it would be nice if the auto-hide panel had some kind of resizing control.

I have to say that I am thankful that the decision was made to go with a spectrum visualizer that adjusts to the artist picture color.  really keeps the element interesting.

One thing I would like at some point though.. and I am sure we will be able to do that when skinning, so no big deal.. but fwiw,  would be nice to adjust the height of the visualizer.  I see myself at times wanting it to be taller... but at times happy it is the size it is.

A minor annoyance:

Settings pane always opens up completely covering compact player, which makes it almost impossible to see the effect on the layout by adjusting each setting. So I drag and move the pane to the left or right, but next time it covers again. Would it be possible to make it not to cover or remember its last position? Thanks.

How to color volume icon and volume slider for compact player? Can't find a way to do that. Any of PlayerSidebar.Volume, PlayerSidebar.VolumeButton, PlayerSidebar.VolumeSlider elements doesn't work.

Edit: Never mind. Found it.

- the visualiser height can now be adjusted
- the popup window size should now consistently set to the same size as when displayed in the right panel
- fields width adjustments in the config dialog should now always update
- fixed bug with album artwork rotation

Thanks for the updates!  I like having the ability to set the visualizer size.

Unfortunately, the pop-up resizing doesn't work correctly because when the right panel is open, the whole window has a slightly larger minimum size than when the panel is hidden.  If I adjust the size, put it in auto-hide mode, and then minimize the window, the pop-up ends up a smaller size than I set it to.

if you resize the window then the popup scales in the same way as it is displayed in the main panel, however i will see if i can make a change to account for the smaller minimum window size allowed if nothing is displayed in the right panel

I think I don't understand what you're saying about the main panel.  Why would the pop-up be resized when it's in auto-hide mode?
