I asked about this yesterday, but I think it belong to the wishlist, really.

It would be great if there were a way to (optionally) tie Playlists to music library or audiobooks or whatever, maybe even the inbox too.  Such that adding a file to the playlist would make it part of that collection, and also so that Playlists for each could be synced separately to a mobile device.

To clarify:

I have some playlists that I definitely want everything in also added to my music library.  The tracks are hand-selected, so a filter or auto-playlist would not do the trick.  I could use a custom tag to make a filter, but that would be adding a step to my current system.  (I have a filter and highlighting set up to show me only things in my library that are NOT in this playlist, which is much more useful.)  Some playlists right now have a mix of inbox and library items, but I could live with not having the inbox items there until I added them to the library officially.

Meanwhile, I have separate folders on my phone for Audiobooks and Music, but because of the way my preferred player works I need to have my music playlists in a subfolder of music.  Since you can only send playlists to one place on the phone, if I use playlists for audiobooks my music player gets cluttered up with audiobook playlists.  So I've kludged it by using a single playlist to tell MB what audiobooks to sync and using Grouping to organize the audiobooks the way I want on the phone.  (Sort of like the custom tag thing, but at least I'm only syncing tens of audiobook files rather than thousands.)

So it seems like some kind of relationship between the playlist and music library vs audiobooks would be helpful.
