Hi, guys!

I've just bought a Zip but i'm getting a hard time putting it to my own fashion (no stable port for rockbox for instance). And there are two issues getting to my nerves!

1. MusicBee can't create a folder structure (like Artits>Album>tracks) when synchronising, while WMP can! I think the settings are ok, but it continues to put all the music files on the root folder. The Zip is set to connect with MTP or Autodetect mode
2. I chosed to embed the artwork to the music files (resolution set to 200px) but the player doesnt display it. The same with files transfered with WMP

I'm surprised there isn't a stable build for clip zip yet from Rockbox. I expect it won't be too long before it is available though.

1) Have you set up that folder structure in the Devices page in Preferences? How are you syncing/sending the files to the Clip? I have the Clip+ and I don't have any problem syncing to MUSIC>Artist>Album>tracks format, I can't imagine there is anything about the Clip Zip that makes this a problem.

2) Sounds like a problem with the firmware of the Zip or a setting somewhere that you haven't enabled. Have you searched the Sansa forums to see if other people have the same problem?

1) Yes, I have! Guess I was doing it wrong - although I'm not pretty sure the reason why.

I was clicking on Music under Sansa Clip Zip, in Devices (see picture), then selecting the albums/files from the menu below and draging it to the list on the right.
I did it different this time. Just selected the album on my library, right-clicked it and 'Send to... Sansa Zip'

2) I'll look further to this after, but it's working fine now that I changed the syncing method or so to say

BTW, what's the proper way to sync?

Meanwhile I must find a way to install MB v2. I downloaded the beta installer but keep getting this error

for 1, its intentional that when you drag/drop files to a device folder they are not auto-organised.
Click the device icon and in the main panel a "Synchronise" button will synchronise as you expect (or use right click/ Send To-> Device for specific files)

for 2, as a guess you either have Windows Installer disabled in your windows services (google that for instructions) or your anti-virus software is blocking it

'The Windows Installer Service could be accessed (...)' error could be fixed using different methods:

If none of these was helpful to you, use DuckDuckGo.com to find more solutions:

You should go to preferences to set it up something like this:

I have mine set to sync to a playlist so I go through my library (set this in the auto sync tab), add songs/albums I want and then just do what Steven says (hit the Synchronize button). Of course, you don't have to sync at all, and you could just do the other method that Steven mentioned (right click>send to device). If you do this method then forget about the preferences in the picture above.
