Here's what I'm after - would be delighted if someone can describe how I could do it with what's supported in MB already, but I've tried quite a few things (some pretty convoluted!  :D  ) and can't get it quite where I want it.

Basically I'd like an auto-playlist where I can do all of these simultaneously:

- apply some generic/global criteria (IS mp3, time < 20min, etc)
- apply some overall restriction (total size is less than a CD-R)
- and the clincher: pick 70% of songs from playlist X and 30% of songs from playlist Y

Or, even more basic: pick 70% rating >3 and 30% rating = 3.

Any thoughts?  ???

I think you can do the first requests with regular playlists/auto playlists (definitely the size one).
For the last one, have you looked at the Playlist Mixer? I haven't used it myself but I think think can more or less do what you want. You from the looks of it you can choose the number of tracks from each playlist that appear so if you had two playlists set up in the mixer, set 30 tracks from one and 70 from the other then you would have the percentage thing you want, kind of.

Someone might have a better idea about how to do it but I think you could do it this way, even if only crudely.

Thanks for the response - yep, agree, the first 2 are already doable with autoplaylists. I had looked at the playlist mixer as well (ie, feed the mixer with a couple autoplaylists) but it doesn't quite get me there combining all 3 of these requirements. The playlist mixer is too static - you can only say "use X tracks from this playlist, and Y tracks from the other.

If the playlist mixer could be specified as a percentage, and then also limit it to an overall size, that'd work but don't see a way to do that right now.

Thanks...
