I'd really like to keep my fingers on the keyboard rather than reaching for the mouse to click the arrows. Any suggestions?

A keyboard shortcut to the Tag Editor save button is on my wishlist too.  ;)

If you click "Show in Main Panel" in Tag Editor, you can then use tab and the arrow keys to change the track you're editing and its tags.

If you're only changing one field that is shown as a column in the main panel, you can click a value in the main panel and then move between tracks with the up and down-keys. For this to work you need to enable "direct editing of tags in the main panel" (Preferences > Tags (2)).

But I agree, there should be a key, some combination of Tab maybe, to easily select the previous/next track while in the Tag Editor.

Enter works just like that for me, using version 2.0.4526. However it won't work when editing the comments tag, since then a new line will be created.

Not here. It just selects whatever text is entered in the field that has focus.

Ah, it only works when Tag Editor is in a floating window, and not in Main Panel.

Five years later, for n00bs like me who googled and got this thread...

You can assign a hotkey to "Edit: Save/Goto Next". Because the time I need this most is when I'm reassigning track numbers, I assigned it to Ctrl+WinKey, leaving my right hand free for the numeric keypad.
