fixed sized windows too small

A small but returning irritation.....
There are windows that are too small to show all content. Some are allowed to increase by dragging, others are fixed and impossible to enlarge.
Please allow it to make it possible to drag all windows to increase their size.
(and preferably have them also remember last size and position)
