extending tagging fields for MusicBee

Understanding that protocols for (mp3) tagging are often unclear and not very uniform between hard- and software, which makes it quite difficult to follow clear regulations, I wonder:

Do you intend to add support for (in my opinion sensible) fields like e.g.:

4.2.1   TLAN    [#TLAN Language(s)]
4.2.1   TMED    [#TMED Media type]
4.2.1   TOAL    [#TOAL Original album/movie/show title]
4.2.1   TOLY    [#TOLY Original lyricist(s)/text writer(s)]
4.2.1   TOPE    [#TOPE Original artist(s)/performer(s)]
4.2.1   TPE1    [#TPE1 Lead performer(s)/Soloist(s)]
4.2.1   TPE2    [#TPE2 Band/orchestra/accompaniment]

So there is no intention to add new fields. I will then 'sacrifice' custom fields for my purposes.

no, because it will just clutter up the screens with fields that most people wont be interested in

Of course I respect your vision and consequency. That's one of the reasons that MB is such a great program.

Still personally I think it's a pity. Looking at how tiny the Tag Editor window is (on my display at least), and noticing that there is more than room enough for e.g. another tab, I think it would be a good opportunity to make MusicBee also standout and distinguish itself in this area.

What if you in preferences could tick checkboxes of which additional extra fields, of all possible, you want to have appear in the Tag Editor. These could then appear under a new tab in the Tag Editor.

That is if there is enough interest so that coding this feature would weigh more than for a few to sacrifice their custom tags.

I like the idea. Not that I use custom tags for more than an album header to separate albums/eps/singles etc but it does seem logical so +1
