That's the issue us Galaxy S2 users are having. If we sync via MTP, it only syncs the playlist as .PLA. If we sync via mass storage mode, it syncs as .M3U. I use PowerAMP which currently only supports .M3U. MTP is the preferred way of syncing with the Galaxy S2 (whereas most Android phones work better with mass storage). This is why most Android users don't notice the issue.

An option to select playlist extension when auto-syncing would be great.

To add to this;

When configuring the sync settings for a mass-storage device, there is an option to select your playlist type (.M3U or .M3U (EXT)). When syncing with MTP devices, there is no option to change playlist type. All playlists are synced as .PLA.

I'd like that option too!

weird thing is, my SGS2 doesn't see the playlists, when copied with mtp or with mass storage.
MB have copied them to my SGS2 but they just don't show up in the musicplayer. Guess MB can't do anything about that since my phone is just being a rainbowsing female dog.
