What version of MB are you using? (Help > About) INCLUDE THE LETTER (if any) AFTER THE NUMBER
How was MB installed? (Store, Installer, Portable)
What format are the files in now?
Where are the files located? (local drive, spotify, online cloud storage?
Do the files appear in your MB library?
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Good luck!  Spotify uses DRM to protect its music library, meaning the music files are encrypted. While you can download music for offline listening (with a Premium subscription), the downloaded files are still encrypted and only playable within a Spotify app. Of course, as with anything else, there are hacky ways around this but I do not think you will find anyone here willing to help you break the Spotify terms of service (could be wrong though). Revealing how to do so might also violate the rules of this message board but I am not 100% positive about this as I cannot find any guide lines/ rules regarding this.

There are no hard and fast rules for this forum. Common sense should prevail. Nothing should be posted (publicly or via PM) that could cause a problem for Steven. We want MB to live long and prosper. Don't do it.

Filtering out the drama text, there is nothing stopping you from deleting Spotify. However you won't be able to keep any songs you may have downloaded from their library if you unsubscribe. Spotify is a paid streaming service. The fee you pay to access their service only lets you listen while you continue to pay.

everything is still on spotify, musicbee doesnt have any songs on it yet because im trying to figure out how to first convert all the songs into mp3 without basically individually searching for each song and putting it in a converter

As Pickles7853 stated above, the songs on  Spotify are protected and you can't download them to your local PC. And if they're not on your local PC, then MB can't convert them. Nor can MB play them.

Yes you can.
The purpose being that you can then use your Spotify desktop version off-line.
But as Pickles7853 mentioned before, they will reside on your PC as encrypted files.

Nor MusicBee, nor this forum can help with that.
