Musicbee fails intermittently with no message but the following in the system app log:
Faulting application name: MusicBee.exe, version: 3.6.9202.37404, time stamp: 0x67d1583e
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.26100.4061, time stamp: 0xb156cd48
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000699b6
Faulting process id: 0x314C
Faulting application start time: 0x1DBD012DB793C65
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\MusicBee\MusicBee.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll

Prior to Musicbee failing there is also a message from .net:
Application: MusicBee.exe

Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException

I can restart quickly enough, but is a problem doing my radio show. The app just stall for half a second and then disappears with no interactive message. This seems to happen only once a week, or so.

Thanks for any help you can give.

It might be an anti-virus thing. Whitelist the entire MB installation directory in your AV software.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

If you do a Google search on:
Exception code: 0xc0000005
you'll find plenty of suggestions for possible causes, and possible solutions.
bad ram, failed updates, driver issues, av software interfering, are things often mentioned.

Also, what version of MusicBee are you using? (Portable, Installed, Store)

Version 3.6.9202, installed from download. I have no history of this problem on previous systems. Recently installed on a new Dell Inspiron 15 3520 running Windows 11 Pro. This is a brand new Laptop for this purpose and doesn't run much else except Chrome.

I'm going to go through and re-install all the drivers.

I don't run any extra anti-virus apart from Windows 11.

Thanks, I'll let you know but may take a while as the problem seems to only happen when I'm in the studio playing the playlist.

I usually don't like to change too many things at once, as you will never know what cured the problem, but I have Whitelisted C:\Program Files (x86)\MusicBee

it might also be your audio drivers needing to be updated

same thing happens to me, especially when I leave MB idle for some time.

This could be a clue. The crashes only happen when the MB is using a USB output for sound to the mixer desk. Next job, drivers!
