This thread is intended for users to share the profiles they have created for their UPnP devices.

available profiles in this thread:

LMS (Logitech/Lyrion Music Server)

_____________________________________________________________________________________

important note:

Remember to always uncheck 'force native stream' if you want profiles to work.
The user interface is not really clear about this, but having that option checked (which is the default) completely breaks/disables any and all profile functionality.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

how to add a profile:

-  press the 'Add' button under 'DLNA device profiles':

-  set all fields as indicated in the screenshot of the preset's configuration panel
-  press 'Save'

From then on that profile will be used when you have selected your device as 'output device' in MusicBee.
(unless 'force native stream' happens to be checked in the plugin. That will break/disable any and all profiles)

A tip for forum members adding their profile to this thread and wanting to include a screenshot of their settings panel:
Use something like this as the BBCode for the image if you don't want it to take up a very large (initial) amount of space in your post.

LMS (Logitech/Lyrion Music Server) for Squeezebox devices

profile name:
LMS (Logitech/Lyrion Music Server)

user agent:
Logitech|iTunes

notes:

-  tested on a Squeezebox Classic, using LMS 9.1.0
(don't forget to install the 'UPnP/DLNA Media Interface' plugin on LMS)
-  'output sample rate' is set to a fixed 44100 rate because when using 'same as source', Opus files play at a lower pitch
-  tested with all sorts of audio file types, bit-depths and sample rates without any issues
-  music will play respecting ReplayGain loudness values (if ReplayGain is activated in MusicBee)
-  gapless playback works
-  image size set to 480 since I believe that is the maximum resolution for what Squeezebox devices (that have a display) are capable of

known issues:

-  when a file needs to be transcoded (e.g. when ReplayGain is on, or when a file type is outside the capabilities of the Squeezebox device, a click will be heard at the beginning of each track

note:

Some Squeezebox devices are capable of higher bit depths and sample rates than 16/48.
I was unable to find consistent information for all models, but I think I have a pretty good idea about what they are capable of.
(an LLM that I used to create a table containing the specifications for every model changed its output every single time I asked: "are you sure about that?")

It looks like all models are capable of 24-bit. (except for the very first Slim Devices SLIMP3 and SB1 models)
And the Transporter and the Squeezebox Touch are capable of 96 kHz sample rates.
So for this preset I am playing it a bit safe, using conservative settings.
(also, I personally don't care about so-called hi-res audio at all)

If you do care about higher sample rates and bit-depths, you could test higher values to see how they work out for your device.
