Hi,
I often listen to the radio using MusicBee. But I like to know what song is playing, and most radio stations provide this information through radio text.
However, the radio text isn't easily accessible. The only way I found is by hovering the mouse over MusicBee in the Windows Taskbar. This only sometimes shows the radio text, and most often it's only a fraction of the radio text.
My question: is there a way to show the radio text in the main interface?

I'm not quite sure why you say that this data is not easily accessible. As long as the metadata is streamed along with the audio (and not all stations do this), the artist and track title should be displayed in the Player Bar:

and the Track Information panel (if displayed):

Also available in the Now Playing tab. This is just like any locally stored file.
Is your MusicBee installation not doing this? Is there other information you are looking to show?

I Guess I've customized my panels quite heavily  :)
Track Information was not showing in the Now Playing tab. I corrected that.
Thanks for the tip 🙏
Is there a way to show the default panel arrangement? I'm not sure where I should find the Player Bar.

This is my layout:

So your Player Bar is already displayed - it is the panel containing the play controls, volume slider, rating stars and then in your image you have a wide grey section which is normally where the track information would be displayed. I can't work out how you have what you do.
I suggest right-clicking anywhere on this panel and trying some options in the Panel Layout menu (but I can't seem to reproduce what you have).

I do agree that the Playing Tracks in the main panel is not populated with the stream metadata - I do not know why this might be.

Trying to replicate your configuration - is the skin 'Cotton (slim)'? - mine looks like this:

(you can see the track info in the Player Bar)

Other settings to consider:
  • Preferences -> Layout(1) -> top panel
  • Preferences -> Now Playing -> playback -> scroll in player as
    (For the screenshot below I used: <Artist> - <Title>)

I now know why the track info wasn't showing in the top panel. When the Wave Bar is active, the track info is hidden in the top panel. A combination of both doesn't seem possible.

Also, enabling and disabling "Auto-pick panel colors" makes MusicBee crash every time.

Thanks for your help!
