Hi,
I have migrated to a new pc lately, but in my new install the equaliser does not work properly.
- the "equaliser" folder in appdata/roaming /musicbee was not present
- in fact , the list of presets in the program equaliser window was empty
- I then manually copied the whole set of presets from the old computer, and inserted them in the appdata/roaming /musicbe folder. THe list did not appear in the equaliser window even after restarting
- if I save a new preset, it is not seen either by the program
- the same happens if I save new presets anywhere else.
It could be that somewhere in the program folders there is a config file with the path to where the equalizer presets are expected to be, which is pointing somewhere else, maybe a path which is not existing anymore??
I desparately looked around, but did not find it. Checked MusicBee3Settings.ini to no avail, and I do not know where else to search...
Please help!
Andrew

It looks to me that something went wrong when installing MB on the new computer.
I would suggest to remove it completely, and then install MB v3.6 portable.
(somewhere outside.the reach of Windows' controlled folders such as 'Program files' or 'Users')

And make sure there is no AntiVirus software interfering.
(if AV software was indeed the cause, it may not only be the equaliser that has been affected)

PS
I hope you haven't used the 'Store' version on the new PC?

You could do a search for "Equaliser" in Explorer to see if it's on the PC at all, but using this opportunity to do a clean install of the Portable version, as hiccup recommended, gets my vote (https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=40059.0).

In the Installed version, MusicBee searches two locations for equaliser settings:
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\MusicBee\Equaliser
%APPDATA%\MusicBee\Equaliser

The Portable version however uses one location for them: the Equaliser subfolder of the application.

AFAIK, that location is not overridden in MusicBee3Settings.ini.
