I just got MB after switching from Itunes.

After getting my playlist sorting set on PC, I synced my phone through MB syncing to use on Poweramp. However the sorting of some songs didn't retain. In the playlist on PC, it ignores words, default 'The' and 'A', but on Poweramp it doesn't.
I delete most tags in the files making them only sortable by name and artist.
I sync the playlist, and when I used Itunes playlist it kept the sorting.
Is there something I'm doing wrong that the PC playlist is fine, but after syncing to my phone it changes?

As you can see, the song 'A Thousand Eyes" and "A Father's Arms" on Poweramp are at the top of the artist, alphabetically. But on PC, I have the setting to ignore "A" putting it in the 'T'  section

This on is on PC

This on is on Poweramp

Hello CostlessJet, and welcome to the forum.

You mentioned three different applications (iTunes, MusicBee, Poweramp), each having its own sorting protocol.
  • iTunes: the ignored words are stored in "SortPrefixes.plist" (there is one for each interface language)
  • MusicBee: the ignored words can be selected (and switched on/off) in the Preferences (Ctrl+O > tab "Sorting/Grouping")
  • Poweramp: it's probable that a similar feature has not been implemented yet. Check on Poweramp's forum, and if needed you can propose a Feature Request there.
