I use old luna xmlc skin with some modifications. It is inspired buy itunes design. I think Apple has still the best designs.

Think what you like, there's nothing all that great about apple designs.

There is a shift in web and app design.
And because of this MB has to adhere to the latest fad? Like following lemmings to the sea?

As sveakul said, given the number of skins available, plus theatre mode along with the numerous options for panel payout, there are plenty of ways to make MB look different. Personally I'd rather see Steven not spend time on aesthetics. While I'm perfectly happen with MB as it is today, taking a quick look at the Wishlist section, perhaps Steven could consider adding more back-end enhancements.

EDIT: Typo

Heyo !

As a web designer, I find MusicBee's UI and UX very pleasant as they currently stand! However, it’s clear that the app feels more aligned with Windows 10 than Windows 11. The absence of modern design elements such as blur effects (e.g., a background that reflects the main colors of the cover art, as seen in the bottom panel), rounded corners, or smooth animations can indeed feel like a gap compared to other apps running on the same system. These updates would be more about visual polish or aesthetic alignment with Windows 11 rather than strictly functional improvements.

Adding such features natively (without relying on plugins) could be a relatively simple enhancement. However, these should remain optional settings (much like the feature that lets users choose between circular or square artist images).

This approach ensures that everyone can tailor the UI to their liking without feeling constrained by a specific design. It’s all about empowering users with the flexibility to create an interface that suits their individual preferences.

After fixing a friends laptop running windows 11, it can die in a fire.

Without really planning it I've skipped every second windows OS anyway so I have no problem if it doesn't update the UI until windows 12, if at all.

Adding enhancements to skinning would be the best way to handle it.

Small things like rounding this cloud panel will go long way. Also an option for cached album artworks for different views, music explorer, album and tracks and album view so you can apply rounded plugin with different settings.
