so as u can see rn the library is empty
i had all my songs in those two folders on the right
but..
i accidentally deleted it and well its gone for good
now i was reading somewhere that apparently when things do get deleted u can see the files in the library but when u play it musicbee says to locate the song

https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=26060.0

for me as u already saw theres nothing
i just want to be able to look at all the songs i had and then with that i can at least try and get those songs back

i had to like go through 1000+ songs and find what i liked and then saved them on musicbee now that the whole thing is gone from there and musicbee aint showing me what i had before i cant go through all them songs again 1000+ is too much ngl
basically can i sumhow read the musicbee library file sumhow? or restore the list just names not the actual songs just need them names
i saw that it had sum sorta mbl file but ofc notepad cant open it
any help will be appreciated

I'm not sure I understand what this image is supposed to show. Can you provide one with the navigator on the left open? That will show what part of the library you're in

You know instead of a panic why don't you try actually searching the forum as this comes up constantly;  try phrases like library missing/deleted, how to restore my library, et etc --use this as the search box instead of the one in the forum:  https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=426af386625354430#gsc.tab=0

The first thing though I would do is confirm that the music files themselves still exist, and if so, where.  Just fire up Windows File Explorer, set it to include hidden files and folders, and do a search for everything with a .mp3 extension (or .m4a, you get the picture).  My bet is that you moved the file location of your music files using Wndows and now MusicBee doesn't know where to look.

If the files themselves are indeed GONE, first check the Recycle Bin--even if you did delete them using MB by accident, it will always Bin them unless you tell it otherwise.  Still gone?  Just restore them from your backup and make a new library in MB.

I did do a lil research and thats kind of why i linked to another post that had what i needed
just wanted to know how i could replicate that

the music files are gone gone for sure they arent in the recycle bin too

wdym tho restore them from a backup?
if ur talkin legit backup well thats gone as i said i had 1000+ songs to go through and i didnt really do a backup as i wasnt done with them
soooooooo thats gone too
i just want the names of what i had in my library not the files themselves those i can get again but idk the names (already said that but yk)
just to be clear this aint a issue of the library
im in need of a way to do what that guy in the other forum post has on his musicbee
musicbee showing the songs (they're not there ik) but like hmm a "ghost"? of what i had before everything went to hell?
like the songs cant be played but he can see what he had like that pretty much

Things left to try:

If you go to File->Library->Open Library, is more than one Library listed?  If so, try the one that isn't already selected.

Do a windows file search for "MusicBeeLibrary.mbl", and "MusicBeeLibrary.bak."  How many are found?  Try renaming the *.mbl one to *.old, and the *.bak one to *.mbl and start MusicBee.

If there is a file ActivityLog.dat in Appdata, open it in Notepad.  It will show a history of songs played.

You can try to recover deleted songs using file recovery software like Puran File Recovery or Recuva .

That looks like the thumbnail browser. The navigator will pop up when you move your mouse all the way to the left edge. It shows things like Music, Inbox, and your playlists. It would be helpful to know which of those you're looking, because an empty library is a different problem than an empty playlist.

If you had organized files into playlists, those should still have the file info. In fact, even your library should still have the info. Did you get a prompt notifying you that MusicBee couldn't find the files?

Glad it helped! No need to close, except maybe edit the title to show it was resolved.
