new to this forum, hope someone can help:
I just changed the track title tag on a group of files to contain both the artist and the song (example: Billy Joel - Piano Man).  I used the program Mp3tag to make the changes because I know it better than MusicBee right now.  I then removed the track from MusicBee , then added them back.  MusicBee is not recognizing the changes and showing the old title tracks.  Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong?  Thanks in Advance.

Welcome to the forum!

What do you see if you look at one of these tracks in the tag inspector? (Can be opened from within the tag editor)

Also, fwiw, if you change tags outside of MusicBee, you can just rescan those files, no need to remove them. But it's hard to imagine that would be the problem in this case.

I wouldn't think so. When a track's removed from the library, the track info's still retained in the MusicBee database.
See here - sveakul brought it up a while back: https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=39332.0

So re-adding it probably won't initiate a file rescan as such. But yes, right-clicking the files in question > send to file rescan should fix the issue.
