Hi folks - slightly 'off topic' but hoping someone in here might know the answer
Just got my hiby m300 all loaded up with music using music bee on my desktop to organise files, make playlists etc etc
But im getting no joy on syncing via USB or getting playlists to be read by the m300.
For playlists, Ive set MB to change file paths to what the m300 shows is the path to the music folder, ive tried relative paths, forward and back slashes - nothing (i can import playlists but they are empty).
Sync ive only just started to play with - but it just scans the device, starts copying then gives a "Copy Failed - The requested value cannot be determined" error message.
Does anyone know how to get syncing and playlists to function in this instance?
Alright, so I'm in the middle of assessing this exact same issue rn.
First thing, blackplayer ex and jetaudio+ both read m3u playlists synced from mbee with either absolute or relative playlists.
I made a playlist with one song in the hiby player app and exported them. Hiby gives you two options, relative and absolute.
This is what the hiby exported playlists look like viewed in notepad.exeAb:/storage/39EC-8000/Music/Lucky Ali/Lucky Ali - A Journey Through Music/Lucky Ali - Aa Bhi Ja Aa Bhi Ja.mp3
Re:../../../Music/Lucky Ali/Lucky Ali - A Journey Through Music/Lucky Ali - Aa Bhi Ja Aa Bhi Ja.mp3
Standard relative playlist in mbee looks like:../Music/Lucky Ali/Lucky Ali - A Journey Through Music/Lucky Ali - Aa Bhi Ja Aa Bhi Ja.mp3
Now with devices that mount with a drive letter, c:\ etc, mbee gives the option to set the prefix for the file paths in the playlists, like with my HibyR3Pro:

For mtp devices, this is not the case.
As such, the HiBy app has an option under scan music to import m3u files into HiBy proprietary database. The m3u files must be relative file paths.

This method works when it wants to and is inconsistent at best.
If we could set the prefix for tracks in the playlist, even on mtp devices, that would solve this issue to a large degree. You would however still need to reimport the playlists everytime you updated something.
Jetaudio uses the standard android database thankfully, and Blackplayer EX lets you switch to the android database for your music library.
However, not being able to use the hiby app with all its features in a bit of a bummer.
The Sony Walkman, its music processing is a separate app from the walkman app thankfully. That app doesn't even have a sleep timer... So i had to use Blackplayer there.
It seems like every dap you buy has some stupid quirk. At some point, just buying a midrange phone with an sd card slot and plugging in an outboard dac/amp is going to be your best option.
