Hi there and sorry for my English, I cannot seem to make the album artist tag work. All my albums are correctly tagged with the album artist tag being the same but when I sort my music library by album artist, the songs that have multiple artist, featuring or guests artist or something are shown out of the album. I have been using Musicbee for years and I this problem is happening to me now. Any help? Thanks in advance.

For albums that are compilations, or have multiple artists, the <album artist> tag should be something like "Various Artists" otherwise the album gets broken up as you're experiencing. If <album artist> is empty MB treats <artist> as <album artist>.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.

You have to put the main artist of the album in the album artist in all tracks of the album so that MB recognises that album as being by one artist and orders it as such.
If it is a compilation you have to tick in the tag editor - itunes compilation settings, this way MB recognises that album with various artists automatically and orders it as such.

You say your album artist tags are the same. Can you show us the tags in these albums so we can see if anything else might not match up?

This has never been a problem, all my music is well tagged and before Musicbee would show the albums all together and when you expanded the album inside the album artist tab, all songs would be there and the ones with multiple artists would show the artist besides the song inside square brackets.

All my albums are correctly tagged with the same Album Artist, I have checked multiple times, also the songs with multiple artists inside those albums are correctly tagged with the artist well split. This have never happened before and I cannot find what happened. I do not want to reinstall musicbee but if I need to I will.

Do you need screenshots of the albums? I have checked multiple times the albums and I have retagged all at the same time. I select all the songs even the ones that are showing separatedly and a batch tag them with the same Album Artist but it does not seem to work. This is affecting every album of every artist with songs featuring other artist in the same album. I have checked in options the sort and grouping and I selected the Album Artist tag the first option for Musicbee to group albums

Here are some more examples:

This Coldplay album:

Here if I select the whole album it shows the exact same Album Artist tag: https://imgur.com/a/ygEFbPr

This Momoko Kikuchi album was released under his name but all of the songs were made by her band at that time named RA MU. The album has her name as Album Artist but is shown apart from her other albums all having the same Album Artist tag:

Simply Musicbee is treating the Artist and Album Artist the same because there is no difference if I search for Artist or Album Artist. The artist menus are the same. This has not happened to me before,

Do you have your 'Group By' setting set to 'Artist'?

On the albums that are split, manually select all of the tracks and then open the editor and got to the Tag(2) tab. Is there anything in the Albumartistsort field that may be different for some of them?
