The problem is that MB puts a / between multiple artists

No, it does not. MusicBee never, ever adds a slash or shows multiple tag values with a slash. That's coming from somewhere else.

I have a CD which consists of compositions of Morhard and Schildt. The artists are separated correctly with a ; but are know shown separately in the list. When you click on the false entry, there are no correspondent tracks shown. Additionally, the CD is not shown under artist < 17. Jahrhundert >.

The tracks not being shown is an odd one, which Steven may have to address. Hard to comment beyond that until the tracks are located.

I did some experiments to see if I could reproduce the track not showing up, but I haven't been able to.

It could be that having ID3v1 as well as 2.3 tags in the file is contributing to the confusion. What you see as MusicBee "adding" slashes may be a value from the v1 tags being imported to the 2.3 tags. I tried removing a particular tag from 2.3 in my tests, and it reappeared because it was still in the v1 tags.

Some files contain a tag PERFORMER and/or DISPLAY ARTIST which are choosen instead of the ARTIST tag. When I deleted this tags, everything is all right.
