I discovered MusicBee and it is amazing. So many features and customizations. Truly impressive.

But in my growing into it, I have had to un-install it and re-install it four times.

Mostly due to my lack of understanding, I mess up my preferences or in this last case, somehow created triplicates of all my songs.

So, I am good at backing up. :-)

What folder locations can I backup so I avoid having to re-install it over and over again? Seems there are several locations.

Thank you.

If you want to keep everything as is, you need to backup three Musicbee folders plus your music folder.

Here's a guide for backing up your whole library: https://musicbee.fandom.com/wiki/Backup_%26_Restore

I've used it a few times and worked well for me. I didn't use the Backup Library function though.

If you install the Portable version, you only have to backup ONE folder--the one you installed the Portable version into-- and you've backed up the whole thing head to tail.  https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=40059.0

Thank you! I took your advice and migrated to the portable version using the documentation from "MusicBee File Paths (Installed vs. Portable).

I had to re-install one plugin, but otherwise worked perfect. And I have already backed up the entire folder! :-)
