Recently, my musicbee app stopped working because it could no longer find the library it's been using. I have tried re-installing, but just comes back to same problem. My backup player (GrooveMusic) does not appear to be affected and i've double checked the library source.

It's now been months and MusicBee still says I do not have permission to access files on my own computer. (As mentioned above, my other players have no problem accessing my music files) WTF

I am pretty pissed, because all the hours spent creating a cool music player has been for nothing. Now i;m here on some chat board when I would prefer to contact MusicBee directly.

Hold down the SHIFT key when starting MB and it should give you an option to search for/ pick an existing library or create a new one.

I have tried re-mapping the library and doing searches but MB just doesn't recognize any music files anywhere.

What version of MB are you using? (Help > About) INCLUDE THE LETTER (if any) AFTER THE NUMBER
How was MB installed? (Store, Installer, Portable)
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

1. You've posted this in an existing thread that is completely unrelated to what you are describing and is here for another purpose.
2. You refused to answer even the most basic questions or follow the troubleshooting steps suggested by the people who tried to help you with this the first time.
3. Your demeanor when asking other users for help is unpleasant.

Previous two replies split from incorrectly posted in a completely wrong sub-forum.

At this point, just forget about trying to remap the old library file.
Instead, create a new library as instructed below.
Then point MusicBee to your music files and screenshot the step in the process where it supposedly cannot "recognize or give you permission to access them".

Hold down the SHIFT key when starting MB and it should give you an option to ... create a new library.
Or use this, if it's easier, File > Library > Create New Library.
