colouring of slider bar/button?

The sliders for pitch, speed, sample rate always use the same colours, regardless of the skin colour. (light/dark etc.)



I know it has been discussed in the past if they could be skinned, and the answer was no. (a .net restriction if I remember correctly)
But since these days sliders can be made a permanent part of the main interface I thought to ask if there perhaps have been developments that does make this possible now?
