Author Topic: new playlists won't sync to Poweramp  (Read 1908 times)

so strange, after months of everything working fine, suddenly any newly created playlists are not syncing to my phone. syncing with a USB cord used to load up any newly created playlists.

the new playlist(s) are checked to sync. Musicbee shows that the playlist sync'd (complete). but there is not new playlist in Poweramp.

Check MB's path to the Samsung playlists in Preferences > Devices > Configure > Settings > playlist storage.

Make sure the path displayed is the path where the playlists are actually going.

Remember that a playlist is only a text file that points to the actual location of the music file. So you might want to check if the music files referenced in the playlist were sync'd over.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Same here. I've tried adjusting the location in Musicbee, and adjusted settings in Poweramp, but playlists don't sync, or even copy over, either way. I've been having more issues with PowerAmp (AlbumArtist tag visible in MB, missing in PA) so I'm thinking most of the issue is there, but haven't found any solution on PowerAmp's forums.

Syncing via USB or WiFi?
MB version?

Syncing via USB (I understand that the WiFi sync app is no longer available) and using MB v3.5.8698.

Please post a screenshot showing your device's configuration in MB.
Preferences > Devices > [select device] > Configure > Settings

As for the WiFi sync app, take a look at it's thread as a couple of people have been working on getting it up and running. The most recent iteration (by user kimt1688) still has issues that are trying to get resolved. A prior version (by user TReKiE) involves using a compiled APK. https://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=28093.msg211570#msg211570 But it has worked for me on my Android device with OS 14 and GoneMad. No guarantee that it will work for you.
