On this screenshot, you can see that all iTunes folders are excluded.

And here, you can see a file from iTunes.

Even though the folder is excluded, it still shows up in MusicBee.

Are you using the latest v3.5 from the downloads page and if you open the file in the tag editor, is the file path in the Settings tab from the folder you think it is?

Using 3.5.8698 from the downloads page, and the songs are in the excluded directories.

To me it looks like you have included them all.

Just wondering how you are scanning for new files? I don't think the manual scan (MB menu > File > Scan Folders for New Files) respects the excluded folder settings).

Yes tjinc nailed it - that setting says right at the top "...to be excluded from monitoring." It's not to do with manual scans.

For the manual scan, when choosing the folders, you just need to ensure that your iTunes folder is unchecked.

just confirming the excluded folders setting only relates to automated library scans and not for manual scans

....ahhhh. I was wondering about this. I am glad I ran across this post. I often do a manual scan for new items and it was ignoring my exclude settings and driving me crazy.
