Hello All,
I have always had artwork as in covers for my albums with my music files,
I have never given it much thought about where those pictures were stored.
Weather they were stored in an artwork folder or embedded in the music file.
So, when I did decide to take a look at this.
I found it difficult to work out weather the artwork was embedded in the music file or not, as I do have some artwork in folders in M/B which are linked to albums as I see them, But I also see album cover artwork for which there are no pictures stored within M/B. So, I came to the conclusion I must have a mixture of both?
I have been into the Edit Preferences>Tags(1)>artwork – and enabled (embed pictures in the music file)
I thought I might have found the information by right clicking on the album cover artwork then clicking on the option “Edit” then on the option “artwork”
My questions, is there an easy way to see from M/B which artwork is embedded in the music file and which is not?
Also is it possible to tag all my music albums & files and instruct M/B to embed
All the artwork into the music files?
Thank you for reading my post.

Have a look at Tools > Artwork > Album Artwork Manager
There are a few options in this that can help with artwork.

If you hover your mouse pointer over the artwork, a pop-up will give you the details.

Now that I know which artwork files are not embedded
Where is the option to  embedd the artwork into the music file?
By choice I would like to  embedd my entire music collection
in one fell swoop.
Can someone tell me if this is possible?
and if yes, then how to do it ?
Thank You

Hi,
If you go to settings-Tags 1 - select embed artwork in music file. Then select save.
Do a complete rescan of your library and then it should embed the artwork as it’s scanning.

Hi Dizza17,
thank you for your advice.
This is what I have tried.

If I go on hamburger top left corner of M-B
Edit Preferences
Tags(1)
embed picture in music file
Apply & Save
Then go top left corner of M-B on File scan folder for new files
Choose the Root of my music folder
Click on Proceed
I get the message at the bottom of the screen "Files re scanned/add complete- no new files found
Nothing has changed!

I have taken a selection of music files and loaded them into
TagScanner 6.1.16 and embedded the cover art then saved the files.
Then re-run M-B and re scanned files for changes.
When I hover over the album cover it gives me " Album Cover Cover.JPG"
I was expecting Album Cover Embedded. Some of my music files do show
Album Cover Embedded, but then they always have.
Shame that they don't all show it.
I am wondering whether I have managed to screw the software up,
With the amount of playing around I have done?
I am seeing things I shouldn’t like when I re scan files M-B changes the art cover to a picture which is not embedded in the music file and it’s not even in my Artist Pictures folder. So, heaven knows where that is coming from?
I don't really want to delete the whole lot and start again as I have invested so much time in customizing this.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thank You

First, rescanning is not "scan folder for new files". Obviously, your tracks are the same (not new) after changing MB settings and even after changing them with an external app. to rescan all files, go to tools> advanced> rescan all files.

Second, check your artwork retrieval mb settings (they can be different from artwork storage settings): go to edit> prefs> tags (1)> artwork> set which pictures are displayed> edit list. select artwork sources and their priorities.
