About this plugins repositoryThoughtsTo be honest I am not completely sure if it is a good idea to have this repository added, since there is already a
forum board for Plugins, as well as a
MusicBee Add-ons section on MusicBee's website.
So having this third repository might complicate things further in keeping information such as available plugins, their version numbers, still operational or not, etc. updated and synchronised.
Therefore this can be considered an experiment.
If it proves to fail its objectives or doesn't get much support it can always be deleted far as I am concerned.
ObjectiveThe objective is
not to present a complete list of all plugins that have ever been released.
The objective is to list plugins that are currently working to satisfaction for many users.

The scope has been widened from only 'plugins', to other extensions/software/code that adds useful functionality to MusicBee. Some of the plugins will not work (anymore) in all situations or for all devices, or have not been maintained for a very long time, but as long as they work for a substantial amount of users they deserve to be in the list.
Following this train of thought, plugins that don't need to (shouldn't) be in this list:
- plugins that are failing to work for a majority of users due to the absence of further maintanace
- older plugins that still work, but have been surpassed by newer and improved plugins doing the same thing
- plugins that are causing serious issues
ToDo's / Maintanance- add missing plugins
- remove malfunctioning plugins
- check version numbers and 'last updated' dates *
- review plugin descriptions
- review the choice and names of plugin categories
* Many of the currently listed version numbers and dates are incorrect.
The reason being that the website plugins page for many plugins (incorrectly) states v1.0 as the version. Also the version numbers and dates are often not updated by the creator of the plugin.
Sometimes current and reliable info can be found on the forum pages, sometimes on the website, and sometimes on sites like GitHub.
So it will take some time and detective work to find out the correct information and correct the current errors.
