"A picture is corrupted, no longer exists or is inaccessible" Album Art Trouble

I'm trying to put album art on  a song, but the message "A picture is corrupted, no longer exists or is inaccessible" comes up everytime I try it. I keep trying to embed the pic into the music file, but the message keeps appearing. The image file is in the same folder as the song file if that helps anything.

What steps are you using to try to embed the picture?  What size and image format are the picture?  What format is the music file?  Can you embed other pictures into this file, but not THIS picture?
