As an option to browse tracks like the 'Track Browser' and 'A-Z jump bar'.

Tag cloud browsing is cool. I have my music tagged in the comments field like this:

trippy sexy pop rock

Would be cool if you could choose which field to use the tag cloud on, and what separator to use ( -, _ a space etc.)

Here is what tag cloud in case any one is wondering.

That is all for now, Mr Mayall.

I didn't like the sound of this at first, but thinking about genres and moods, it's actually quite a nice idea.
Here's a website that uses a tag-cloud interface to create playlists:

I think songbird has a tag cloud plugin, but none of the other popular music library software seems to have this feature.

Out of interest, what variable would make the 'rock' tag larger than 'trippy'? For instance, would it depend on the amount of those tracks in the library? Perhaps the sum of the play count? Maybe the sum of the ratings? What would be most useful?

although you cant do exactly what you want, you can create auto-playlists filtered on a tag

also MB supports setting tags using last.fm tag cloud (right click/ Auto-Tag by Track/ Update from Last.fm Tag Cloud) so you can create mood lists for example
