'Album Color Mix' or 'BackgroundAlbumCover' in Theater Mode?

I've been back to screwing around with a theater mode idea and have incorporated a thin playback bar that moves across the screen as the song plays. Is it possible to color this similar to the way the Album Color Mix and the 'BackgroundAlbumCover' element get their color from the current album art?

It'd look great if the progress bar could be colored to match the album art but I haven't seen any other themes or skins that do it so I'm guessing it's not possible. Thanks for any input anyone has!
