I found out about the "analyse volume" feature a few weeks ago and used it to normalize the volume of my entire library, and it was great! Problem is, I added a few albums since then, and they're either too loud or too quiet. Do I need to run "analyse volume" on the whole library again? Or can I just do it on the tracks I added?
Thanks!  :D

It's really your choice as to redo the entire library or just the new tracks/albums.

Many years ago when I had a large collection I ran the entire library. Since then I only do newly added tracks/albums. With almost 45,000 tracks (3200+ albums) redoing the entire library will take some time. If I were to do it now, I would start in when I went to bed and let it run overnight.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

You have misunderstood how volume analysis works.
From this thread:

In case of album or track replay gain calcuation,

do I have to select all files in the library?

The phrasing of your question makes me think you've misunderstood how volume normalisation (gain) works.
Replay gain doesn't work by comparing the selected tracks against each other - it analyses the apparent loudness of each track separately and works out the volume adjustment required to play each track at a level that has been adopted as an international standard.

You can get more info by googling EBU R128.

Bee excellent to each other...

In case you missed it, there's a setting under Tags (2) called "calculate and write missing replaygain". Checking this will do exactly what it says automatically every time new files are added to library.

To be honest, I don't understand any of this either. Regardless, I tried running the volume analysis on the whole library and was pleasantly surprised when it only adjusted the volume on the new additions!

This is very helpful, thanks!  :D
