What i will do is change the behaviour of the new 'restrict columns setting' to prefer that setting when enabled, so if you choose 2, it will use 2 columns of narrower width, rather than adapting to the displayed text width

The issue is for people with classical music or other cases where the titles are very long.
Confirming that the change seems a big improvement for classical music with long titles.

What I do notice though, is that when the titles are not that long, but the 'track artists' vary from the 'album artist', the column count is also reduced (usually to 1) to accommodate for showing all track artists too.
And those don't concern me much for that view.

But please just take this as an impulsive observation.
There's a good chance it is a rare occurrence, and/or it can be resolved using some virtual tag for the expanded panel.
