Hello,

I am trying to do a project, and the auto-DJ feature is probably the best thing ever invented for it. However I would like to
a) Extract all songs that fulfill the filter requeriments
b) Do not repeat any song that is already in the list.

I am pretty sure there is a way to do it, but I just can't find it.

Thank you.

The best way to do this would probably be to set up an auto-playlist to use as the source for Auto DJ. Then you can set the filters and rules of the playlist to make sure tracks aren't repeated more often than absolutely necessary. Least recently played might be a good criteria to try.

I think I have found a way, although is not in Auto DJ. But in playlist > Automatic playlist.

It also allows you to filter stuff like Auto DJ. It has three problems.
1) It doesn't allow you to load save presets of rules.
2) The don't repeat artist by proximity doesn't work as nicely as in Auto DJ
3) There is no last.fm proximity to artist option

However I should be able to work around those problems.

Thank you!

I can't say for sure it would solve the problems (2 & 3, anyway), because there's various levels of logic happening at once, but my suggestion was to take a playlist like that and set it as the source for Auto DJ. That was you can apply Auto DJ settings to the contents of the playlist.
