Hey, I'm just setting up MusicBee for the first time and trying to get my music library inside the program but it just won't scan it or crash when doing so. I must admit my music library is quite big with 130,000 files and around 1.5TB in size, I wonder if that's the problem. Maybe I have set up something wrong?

Please let me know how can I go about solving this. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum, maldogam3r.
Try doing the following if you haven't already:

- restart MusicBee and see if the files from the monitored folder have been added or not.
- go to File -> Add Files to Library (select them all and click open) and see if that works.

Edit:
It's highly unlikely that the problem is with the number of files as they've been users with as many as a million songs to their collection.
- also try File -> Scan Folders for New Files if the above don't work.
...but it just won't scan it or crash when doing so.
Elaborate. What error/crash report did you get?

thanks for answering, i'm unable to try File -> Add Files to Library since all the music files are in individual folders and selecting all folders doesn't work.

unfortunately, it's when using File -> Scan Folders for New Files that i've noticed the program closes itself when it has scanned around 30,000 files with no crash/error reports and with said files having not been added to the library when reopening the program.

needless to say that restarting MusicBee and the PC multiple times hasn't worked either  :-\

Sometimes one corrupted file out of 130,000 can interrupt the scanning process.
If you're adding them all at once, you'll never know.

Trying adding them in smaller batches to see if you can narrow it down.
Bee excellent to each other...
