Hi All,
I am running the portable version of M/Bee version 3_4_8033
I can not fault it as a portable version.
So I am wondering what the advantages/Disadvantages there are of running it as an installed version?
Thank You

If you're happily running the portable version, I would stick with that. It's much simpler for making backups because you only have the one folder to deal with. I recently switched from the installer version for exactly that reason. And based on my experience, switching from one to the other is more headache than it's worth, if you can avoid it.

Allow me to add to what psychoadept has stated. Both the Installer and the Portable version are exactly the same as far as functionality is concerned. The only difference is in how they are installed.

You're on portable now - stick with it. There's no reason to change.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Yes to all the above.
I switched to the portable version because it was so much less work getting MB set up everytime I need to reinstall Windows (which happens an annoyingly lot)

I've gotten so used to the convienience of portable versions I'm migrating as many programs I can to portable too
