Hi, this is my first post. I have been using Musicbee for a month or so and I think it is a fantastic piece of software. I apologize if my English is not very good, at least I hope you understand what I mean.

I would like to ask something. I have a virtual tag with this function $Group(<Album Artist>,1), that I use in the column browser like a A-Z jumpbar to filter the bands.
The Album artists that starts with “the” are located in the T. There is some way to exclude “the” like in the thumbnail browser?
For example The Cure is located in the letter C in Thumbnail browser but I have it on letter T on the column browser using that virtual tag.
I have in Sorting/Grouping checked the ignore words setting for “the”

I have tried to search for the answer in the forum with no luck.
Thank you very much.

Have a look at the functions page of the wiki. Specifically what you want is the Sort function

Your final formula would look like this:

$Group($Sort(<Album Artist>),1)

Wow, thank you very much.
That Works!!
I am very bad at functions and although I have looked at the wiki it seems that I did not understand the concept correctly.
Thanks again.
