Hello.
I like to have most of my playlist ordered by date added (manual order, to keep track of my latest additions), and my main library in "sort album".
It's perfect like that and wouldn't want to have it any other way. However, there's one specific playlist where i'd like for the playlist to be ordered the same as my main library, being sorted by "Sort Album" order.
However, changing that on the playlist seems to change it for every other playlist. But i just want that one to be sorted like that. I looked up a different similar topic but it didn't really help me.

The most reliable way to do this is to save a custom view for that playlist.

Custom views are explained here: https://musicbee.fandom.com/wiki/Main_Panel_Views

Especially note that you should save the custom view FIRST and then make changes. Once you've saved it, you should go into the settings for that playlist and set it to use that view. (You can also apply the view to your main library if you want it and the playlist to always match.)

I don't really get it. I tried to do it in different ways but I'm not sure i understand the exact steps. What do you mean by make changes?

I might be missing something here, but it sounds like all you need to do is edit the playlist settings and tick "custom fields for this playlist only"
that will also enable the sorting to remain local to the playlist in question

That was already ticked.
I just don't really get the process for the sorting for that specific playlist.
If i do "sort by sort album" on that one playlist, it changes the setting for every playlist. If I create a Custom View when i got it set to "manual order", then select it, it doesn't change antyhing. It doesn't work the other way around too, tried to create the Custom View setting, and only sort to "Sort Album" after, it doesn't change anything at all either. It all just seems like it's ignoring everything and just goes with the default "sort by" general value.

Btw i've got my view setting set to "Album Cover" for all playlists. Idk if that changes anything

make sure you are using the latest patch version as there was a bug fixed for sorting with the "Album Cover" view in playlists

https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee34_Patched.zip
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files
