I love MusicBee so much, and I wouldn't want it to die with Steven.

Sure.

What about keeping MusicBee from dying when future Windows updates don't support MusicBee anymore?

What I'm asking essentially is, will there be someone with access to the code so they can keep updating it?

The internet-enabled dead man's switch built into MusicBee will be activated, and it will stop working.

This is why I have copied my music library onto 7,858 CDs.

Perhaps the rude, egoistic and insensitive manner you brought this up is the reason for the replies you are getting.

Any question that starts with "So, when you die..." is a strange question to ask someone you don't know personally, and probably a strange question to ask someone you do.

The short answer is that no one except Steven knows. To my knowledge it's never been addressed.

It could be asked of any software project with a single developer.
It's possible some provision exists for the source code to be released in such an event, but let's hope we never have to find out.

What is your contingency plan in case you die tomorrow?
Is somebody else going to share your estate plan with us then?
I'm sorry, but you'll understand that the forum deserves some assurances about this.

Sorry, but I'm taking MB with me. You'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

In the event of my death I will attempt to Wifi Sync but I'm anticipating firewall issues.

That's pretty funny. You could always use a USB cable, but I think the maximum length is about 33 feet. If you decide to try, please let us know how if it worked.
