Is there any way to have "Properties" or "Tags" panel open by default?
(Currently I have to press Shift+Enter every time I start MusicBee)

There's a "Show in Main Panel" selection at the upper-right of the floating window that will pin it to the bottom of the main as you browse your library (but not in the "Now Playing" window).

I think the OP meant they want the panel to persist when opening MB, which is not possible afaik

The vertical tag editor panel can be used to permanently display/ edit a configured set of fields

Oh that's actually pretty neat. I didn't realize that was an option.

@ma_t14: Exactly, I want the panel to persist, thanks

@Steven: That helps thank you! Unfortunately it can't show the file path (as I organise files into folders I want to know where they are)

Wouldn't using 'URL' or 'Path' in your main panel work?

I feel that the tag editor is only meant to be able to show tags you can actually change. You can use the track information panel for what you are looking for.
