Tested this some more and I'm afraid the issue still persists, just under different conditions now.
On this link is a gif demonstrating the weird progress bar behaviour when a soundcloud song is played.

In the video, I played a song to which I proceeded to seek/jump to two different points in the track and the progress bar started doing its thing.
On the 'first jump', MB successfully played the correct portion of the track. But on the 'second jump', it wasn't playing a part of the song I expected it to.

It's working flawlessly now. Thanks.

What presets are needed to connect soundcloud? The "track search" tab is dead. The latest patch from here https://getmusicbee.com/patches/ is applied

There are no presets that I know of. You do need to open SoundCloud Search under Services in the Navigator bar.

It's not something I use regularly. I just typed in the word "nothing" (no quotes) and got 90 hits.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

I enter a word, click search and nothing happens. Same with the "upcoming releases" section https://imgur.com/a/5hybumo

Perhaps there aren't any results for "artist song".

EDIT: Scrap that, there are lots of results for that search string in the soundcloud search.

I got over 100 hits after entering "artist song" (no quotes) and pressing enter.

Might this be a geographical access issue?
Where in the world are you Moodymann? I see your MusicBee language is Russian (excuse my ignorance if wrong).
Can you access Soundcloud and/or Musicbrainz (I think this is used for the upcoming releases) through your browser?

did you hit the enter key?

Yes. After clicking, the inscription "Enter into the search box..." disappears from the window. And nothing

Yes, this service is available in my country. I also tried searching in MB via VPN - this also did not give any results
